Who we are

This website is run by BrackPixel, a growth marketing studio based in Hyderabad, India. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, it means BrackPixel. For anything about your personal data, write to hello@brackpixel.com.

What we collect and why

When you send an enquiry

The contact form asks for your name, email address, the service you're interested in, your monthly budget range and a message. We use these only to reply to you and, if you choose to work with us, to plan and deliver that work. The form is emailed to our business inbox. We don't add you to a mailing list because you sent an enquiry.

When you subscribe to our newsletter

We collect your email address and the date you signed up, so we can send you our weekly growth note. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying to any newsletter or writing to hello@brackpixel.com, and we'll remove your address.

When you browse the site

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site: which pages are visited, how visitors arrive (for example from a search or a shared link), roughly where they are (country and city level), the device and browser used, and whether someone sends an enquiry or subscribes. Google Analytics uses cookies and processes your IP address to produce these reports. We use the reports in aggregate to improve the site; we don't use them to identify individual visitors.

Like every website, our hosting provider also records standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to keep the site secure and working.

Cookies

The site sets two kinds of cookies:

• A strictly necessary session cookie when you use the contact or newsletter form, used only to stop the same browser sending repeated submissions within a few seconds.
• Google Analytics cookies (named _ga and _ga_<ID>), which tell Google Analytics whether a visit is from a new or returning browser. They last up to two years unless you clear them.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works normally without analytics cookies.

We don't use advertising cookies or tracking pixels from social networks on this site. The share buttons on our articles are plain links: LinkedIn, X or WhatsApp only receive information if you click one.

Who we share data with

We don't sell or rent your personal data. We only share it with the service providers that run this site and our email, and only as far as they need it:

• Hostinger, which hosts the website, processes the forms and stores newsletter sign-ups on its servers.
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365), which hosts our business email, where enquiries arrive.
• Google (Google Analytics), which processes visit data for our reports.

Some of these providers may process data outside India. They are established companies with their own security and data-protection commitments. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries: for as long as we need them to reply and, if we work together, for the length of that relationship and our legal record-keeping obligations. If we don't end up working together, you can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
• Google Analytics: visit data is kept for up to 14 months, after which Google deletes it from our reports.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, if you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, under the GDPR, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• correct or update it;
• delete it;
• stop using it for our newsletter, or withdraw any consent you gave.

Write to hello@brackpixel.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we'll reply as soon as we can, and in any case within the time the law allows. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.

Security

The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, the forms check and limit what can be submitted, and newsletter sign-ups are stored outside the public part of our web server. No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect it.

Children

This site is meant for businesses and isn't aimed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
